We are accepting hand knit, crochet, fleece and quilted blankets and hats. We ask that all materials are machine washable. At this time, we are not limiting the size of the blanket, but just using a general rule of thumb that it should cover the patients lap. We are also accepting donations of yarn and fleece.

I am sure that we all know someone, whether it be a friend, or a family member whose life has been affected by cancer. To be able to give each person that is going through the fight of their life a tangable item to remind them that they are not alone feels like an honor. Christy Loughry is the mom of four young boys. Two of the boys had to undergo multiple surgeries and procedures at the hospital. Each time, the boys were generously given toys and blankets donated from the hospital to help them and comfort them.
She later found out that there was not anything in place to support the adults, specifically the cancer patients. It was at that time she made it her mission to create knitting it together.
